Staying involved with Chrysalis

At Chrysalis, the diversity of women’s unique and individual journeys is respected and celebrated!  Anyone who has ever resided at New Dawn, New Day or New Way, for any length of time, is honoured and respected as Alumna of Chrysalis Society – for life.

All Alumnae are invited and encouraged to connect with each other online through the Alumnae Facebook Group to share successes and support w/ each other! Isolation is a big part of addiction – healthy community & friendships are foundations of recovery!!

In aim of fostering long-term recovery and positive transferable skills, women in our 2nd-stage programs (New Day & New Way) and Alumnae are supported to volunteer with Chrysalis.  2nd-stage residents and Alumnae support women in 1st-stage recovery by providing:

  • accompaniment
  • companionship
  • mentorship

Volunteers additionally commit to grocery shopping and accompanying new women to meetings and appointments.

Chrysalis supports those Alumnae interested to enter employment in the helping field, and we may have a career opportunity for you.

Additionally, Alumnae can contribute to Chrysalis Society through committee work, and lend our organization the invaluable benefits of their skills and experience.

We encourage and support Alumnae from all our programs to share their wisdom and experience.

An online group for women to connect; a place to maintain and create community with each other in recovery: to share stories, successes and ongoing support.
