Our Voluntary Board of Directors is comprised of individuals from the community who have taken a proactive involvement to advance our Society’s capacity to continue serving women who are in need of our services. The Board consists of an Executive Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Directors. Directors may also form committees as means to achieving specific goals.
We are currently inviting community members to join our Board of Directors. Minimal requirements are:
- a feminist approach that fosters a culture that balances business with a community
base, and an applicable, working knowledge of the world of non-profits & women
- a thorough understanding of the stigma associated with addiction, related harms, and how all relate to women
- a one-year commitment to attendance at monthly Board meetings at our Head Office
- a commitment to engage in proactive measures to advance our operational capacity to continue serving women in need
You can help expand our organizational capacity through your combined skills, knowledge and experience in any of the following areas:

licensed, residential supportive-recovery services for women
- organizational and community networking
- volunteer recruitment and coordination

accounting & finances

fundraising, marketing and public relations

community event planning & organization
